    The New Woman’s Guide to Cocktails: Punch & Prohibition in Progressive Era America

    Welcome Dr. Laura Carlson, food historian and host of The Feast podcast, as she talks about Victorian women and the emergence of cocktail culture. She takes a more in depth look and puts an Arizona twist on her recent episode on the first cocktail party and entertaining in the late 19th/early 20th century home.

    Carlson is a food historian and writer based in Toronto, Ontario. She produces and hosts The Feast Podcast, a radio show and podcast dedicated to the great meals that made history. With a doctorate in history from Oxford University, Laura has taught history and classics in England and Canada for the past seven years.
