Water in the Valley: 1870 to present

SRP Archivist Leah Harrison will share the history of water in the Valley of the Sun from prehistoric through modern times — with a particular focus on early Phoenix.

Free and open to the public.

The talk will be held in the Lath House Classroom, located upstairs in the wooden open air structure behind the Rosson House.

About Leah Harrison

Leah Harrison is the manager of Research Archives and Heritage at Salt River Project. Leah earned her Bachelor’s in History Education from the University of Arizona. A native Phoenician, Leah taught history and drama for three years before pursuing her Master’s Degree in Public History and a certificate in Scholarly Publishing from Arizona State University. She has been with SRP for eight years, analyzing the history of water and power in the valley and managing a team that oversees SRP’s archival and artifact collections, along with the SRP Heritage Center.
