Memorial Rose Garden
The Memorial Rose Garden at Heritage & Science Park in downtown Phoenix was dedicated on May 7, 1985, and has been replanted as needs arise. Each of the roses was selected to demonstrate a unique charm of their own, as well as to compliment colors and fragrances. Harpers & Berridge Nurseries and members of the Phoenix Rose Society were invaluable in their guidance with the selection and placement of the roses.
Particular acknowledgement goes to Volunteers Pat and Charlie Ihsen, who spent years caring for and maintaining these roses, and to Volunteer Sharon Presley, who continues to do so.
