All Girl Scout Visits are currently suspended

We understand that you would love to have your Scouts explore history at Heritage Square, but our budget and staffing has yet to return to pre-COVID levels, so we are unable to restart our field trip program at this time. Our educational Traveling Trunks are available and can be rented. Please fill out the online form or contact us at to ask about booking a trunk. Check out our History at Home page for a bundle of activities, recipes, and staff recommendations.  Our blog is also chock-full of fascinating history – give it a read! Thank you, and we look forward to seeing you at the Square again soon!

Playing the Past Badge

Getting your photograph taken was an important and solemn occasion for Victorians. These girl scouts are wearing suitably somber expressions for their portrait.

For Juniors:  Learn about women of the past as you research a historical figure, dress the part, and experience everyday Victorian life. Visit up to 8 stations and earn the badge in 3 hours. Includes a tour of the Rosson House and all badge requirements.

  • Join girls from across the Valley on an already scheduled day.

$12 per girl, badge is $3 extra. Tailored to Juniors but all children are welcome.

  • Schedule your troop

Includes all the activities above, plus making a Victorian handbag on a treadle sewing machine to take home.

$20 per girl, minimum of 6 girls, badge not included. Please call 602-388-8090 to schedule.
