The Rosson House is the must see attraction for the holidays. With all twelve rooms decorated, this 1895 Victorian mansion is at its best. Combine your tour of the Rosson House with an elegant afternoon tea in the 1901 Stevens Bungalow, which will be transformed into a Victorian-style tea room where tea sandwiches, scones and clotted cream and of course tea will be served on exquisite vintage china.

  • Directions and Parking

    Your event begins with tea in the Stevens Bungalow, located at 602 E Adams Street. Following tea, your group will take a tour of the Rosson House Museum, decorated for the holidays.

    The Heritage Garage offers public parking conveniently located at 5th Street and Monroe.  Bring your parking garage ticket with you to be validated for a reduced parking fee.  Street parking meters are active until 8pm.

    Bus routes 1, 3, and 7 all stop at Van Buren and 7th Street. Light rail stops at 3rd Street and Washington (west bound) and 3rd Street and Jefferson (east bound).

  • Holiday Tea Menu

    A selection of tea sandwiches:

    • House-cured salmon, lemon crème fraiche, fresh herbs
    • Short rib, arugula, wasabi aioli on toast
    • Cucumber, herbed cream cheese on butter enriched white bread
    • Curried chicken salad on apricot walnut bread

    Fresh  orange scented and vanilla cardamon scones
    served with homemade lemon curd,
    clotted cream, and fruit jam or marmalade.

    Choice of tea:

    • Darjeeling/English breakfast
    • Dried fruit and spice chamomile blend

    Catering by Home

    Our chefs  Moniqe Quinonez and Sarah Fukuda emphasize making food from scratch using local ingredients. Purveyors include McClendon Farms, Arai Pastry, Two Wash Ranch and  Crow’s Dairy.

    Vegetarian options on request.  Unfortunately, we can not accommodate gluten-free or vegan options.

  • Tea for Two Tree Raffle

    Support the Rosson House Museum this holiday, and get the chance to win a beautiful, pre-lit and fully decorated Christmas tree, along with some amazing tea-themed extras!  Tickets are $2 each, or $10 for 10, and are available at the Museum Store at Heritage Square.  Packs of 10 tickets are also available online, here.  The drawing for the raffle will be held on Wednesday, December 20th.  Heritage Square staff and their families are not eligible to win the raffle.
