Eastside Explorers at Heritage Square

Free – $8Tour the Rosson House and experience Ink and Fiber at Handcrafted. Handcrafted is our new vintage makerspace where you can try out pre-electric tools in one of our four zones: Ink, Fiber, Wood and Food. This tour is reserved specifically for families associated with Eastside Explorers. This field trip is designed for children ages 7 and up, but children of all ages are welcome.
At Heritage Square, your family will –
Take a child-friendly tour of the Rosson House
Get hands-on with Ink! Make paper, ink and your own quill pen. Try our letterpress and typewriters. Head home with your own handcrafted booklet.
Get hands-on with Fiber! Spin thread and use it in your own weaving. Sew a sachet on our treadle sewing machine. Head home with handcrafted fiber arts.
The cost is $8 per student of any age; $5 per adult; and non-students 4 and under, who are not participating the the hands-on activities, are free. Limited to 30 people total, so please register all who plan to attend.
Policies – Please note that this field trip requires a minimum of 8 children over the age of 7 to be registered 14 days prior to the event. Events with below minimum registration will be cancelled. The program can accommodate a maximum of 30 people of any age level. Cancellations made at least 14 days before the scheduled date will receive a 100% refund. No refunds will be made for cancellations less than 14 days before scheduled tour date. Culture passes are not accepted for homeschool field trips at Heritage Square.
