Motoring Thru Time & Heritage Festival

Heritage Square presents its signature event, Motoring Thru Time & Heritage Festival, on the first Saturday in February.

Nearly 100 antique and vintage cars will be on display including beloved characters from the movie Cars. Dozens of skilled artisans demonstrate heritage crafts and offer make-and-take activities.

You won’t want to miss this free annual festival. Click here to learn more.

Family Friendly Tours

The Heritage Square’s Rosson House Museum offers complementary activity backpacks to help your children engage with history. Take the backpack with you into the Rosson House and unleash your inner history detective. Explore the historic rooms using opera glasses, search for clues on a scavenger hunt and use your senses to solve artifact mysteries.

The backpacks are appropriate for ages 4 and up and free for check-out in our Museum Shop. Return the backpack at the end of the tour and receive a free take-home activity booklet.

Families with Young Children

Please know that young children (under 4) sometimes find the tour of the Rosson House Museum challenging. The tour of the museum will last approximately one hour. Visitors are asked not to touch artifacts and to stay with the group.

A few things that might make the visit easier for your young child
– give your child a soft toy or object to carry through the museum
– before arriving, discuss the concept of “looking with our eyes not our hands”
– if your child gets antsy, encourage them to sit on the floor or to ask a question
